WHY GO

Water, woodland and field paths below the moors near Holmfirth, with a published short circuit and a dated Bilberry works notice to check.

Digley’s short circuit links wooded banks, fields and views towards neighbouring Bilberry Reservoir. Yorkshire Water publishes a 1.5-mile walk taking about an hour. Its visitor page still carries a dated Bilberry embankment closure notice, so confirm the crossing before relying on the complete circuit.

Surfaced tracks and unsurfaced paths, steps, steep sections and a short roadside stretch.
Accessibility

Seasonal considerations
The operator warns that the circuit can be muddy and uneven and recommends walking boots. Check the unresolved Bilberry access notice before travel.
