Terrain & steps
Steep rocky ascent, a narrow cliff-edge path, stream crossings and flagstones across peat.
Accessibility
This is a demanding upland approach with uneven ground and exposed sections. A continuous step-free route has not been verified.
Access & restrictions
The July 2026 walking guide retains an October 2024 landslip warning near Laddow. Current repair status is unverified; turn back if passage is unsafe.
Seasonal considerations
Rain can make crossings harder and peat boggier. Check weather and daylight, carry navigation equipment and avoid an approach beyond your skills.
The summit is a destination for a substantial hill walk. Published durations for longer circuits are not entered as one-way approach times; no applicable total visit range was verified.
